HM King Mohammed VI “firmly” condemned the “criminal” shooting in a navy yard in Washington DC and expressed solidarity and sympathy to US President Barack Obama.
In a message sent to President Obama, the sovereign said he learned the sad news with “dismay”, expressing “in his own name and on behalf of the Kingdom of Morocco firm condemnation of this abject criminal act and unequivocal solidarity”.
At least 12 people have been killed and at least four injured in a shooting at a naval installation in Washington DC on Monday.
