U.S. Consul General in Casablanca hails climate of stability, peace in Morocco

Marrakech – Consul General of the United States of America in Casablanca Brian Shukan on Friday in Marrakech applauded the climate of stability and peace prevailing in Morocco, under the leadership of HM King Mohammed VI.

In a statement to MAP news agency on the sidelines of a visit to Marrakech, Brian Shukan voiced his determination to work towards strengthening the distinguished relations that bind the United States and Morocco particularly in the areas of services, movement of people, economy, agriculture, culture and tourism.

He also highlighted the support that the United States attaches to Morocco in order to promote and encourage investment in the Kingdom, adding that he was “very satisfied” with Morocco’s development in all areas.

He noted that his visit to Marrakech also aims to promote the image of the United States among Moroccan people, learn about investment opportunities in the region and give new impetus to trade between the two countries.

During his stay in Marrakech, the U.S. diplomat has held talks with several local officials on the potential that Marrakech-Tensift-Al Haouz region enjoys.
