Rabat – The visit of the delegation of Robert Kennedy Centre for Justice and Human Rights “is of a political nature and has nothing to do with human rights,” said Mahjoub Salek, general coordinator of “Khat Achahid”, a group opposed to polisario.

The president of the foundation, Kerry Kennedy, refused to meet the camps’ youth as well as members of “Khat Achahid”, relatives of political prisoners and the family of Ould Sidi Mouloud, Salek told the Moroccan Arabic language daily al Ittihad al Ichtiraki.

He also wondered how this delegation can be neutral and impartial and get acquainted with the plight of populations sequestered in Tindouf while it was an Algerian presidential plane that took them to Tindouf.

This human rights organization “is not neutral and serves the agenda of the members of the polisario gang,” he said, adding taht the visit was “disappointing.”

Kennedy, he continued, has avoided visting the Ould Errachid prison and has not sought to investigate the embezzlement of humanitarian aid destined for the people in the camps.

This visit, says Salek, aims to polish the image of this illegitimate gang at the expense of the lives of the camps population.
