Morocco’s trade turnover with the rest of the African continent increased by 11 percent annually between 2005 and 2015, according to a report released by the ministry of finance and economy on Monday.

The Moroccan-African trade turnover stood at nearly four billion U.S. dollars in 2015, which represented seven percent of Morocco’s foreign trade, the report said.

In the last decade, Morocco placed the African continent at the forefront of its strategic, geopolitical and economic priorities.

The North African nation has signed a series of trade and investment agreements with sub-Saharan countries.
