Morocco: U.N. Chief Ban Ki-Moon Congratulates HM the King On Throne Day

Rabat — HM King Mohammed VI received a congratulatory message from U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, on the occasion of the 12th anniversary of the Throne Day.

In this message, Ban extended his heartfelt congratulations to HM the King, to the government and to the Moroccan people.

“Now more than ever, the problems we face transcend borders, the pursuit and implementation of solutions that will lead to overcome these complex and interdependent obstacles, require patience, determination and cooperation, which should take the form of joint and effective action on the part of the international community,” the U.N. chief wrote in the message.

“I am determined to ensure that the U.N. is constantly adapting to a rapidly changing world and obtain concrete and conclusive results with regard to three main areas of its work, namely development, peace and security, and human rights,” the message added.

“It is very encouraging to be able to depend on Morocco’s influence, determination and commitment to the service of the efforts we continue to deploy in order to build a sustainable, safe and fair world for all,” Ban said.
