Morocco Arrests 2 Suspects Over Cocaine Trafficking

Morocco’s police arrested on Monday a Brazilian and a Nigerian for attempting to smuggle cocaine at Mohammed V International Airport in the Moroccan city of Casablanca.

According to a statement from the police, the suspects, who arrived from Sao Paulo, Brazil, were carrying in their luggage 4.2 kg of cocaine and 3 litters of liquid cocaine.

The suspects were remanded in custody to complete the investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor, it noted.

Morocco has seized record 2.84 tons of cocaine in 2017, 1.5 tons more than the amount seized in 201
