Rabat – Moroccan Mediator for Democracy and Human Rights sent, recently, a memorandum to the Prime Minister on many issues related to human rights in the country.

The Mediator stressed the need, in this document, to examine, as soon as possible, these issues in order to boost confidence in the process of change that Moroccans aspire to be achieved.

It calls for the “immediate release of journalist Rachid Nini,” who was prosecuted according to the penal law, which constitutes, for it, “a violent of the law.”

It also called for the release of most detainees in “Belliraj case,” saying their jailing until now goes in “contradiction with logic.”

The Mediator urges the government “to release the detainees who did not commit crimes.”
