Coronavirus: Morocco cancels SIAM in Meknes

The Moroccan Fishing and Agriculture Ministry has cancelled the SIAM international agriculture trade fair due to the coronavirus emergency.

The trade fair was scheduled from April 14 to April 19 in the northern city of Meknes.

The measure is part of the “framework of security measures linked to the Covid-19 epidemic, as part of the recommendation to limit large events and mass gatherings”, the ministry statement said.

A total of 1,400 exhibitors from 65 countries were expected to attend the 15th edition of SIAM, the sector’s largest event in Morocco, with estimates of more than 900,000 visitors expected.(ANSAmed).
