13th Afro-Arab Parliament​ary Conference In Rabat

The 13th Afro- Arab Parliamentary Conference started here Wednesday, attended by representatives of African and Arab parliaments and national assemblies, including a delegation of the two chambers of Algerian Parliament, Algeria Press Service (APS) reported.

 

Participants of the two-day meeting will examine the development of Afro-Arab cooperation in order to support economies of African and Arab countries, particularly in joint economic projects. 

 

They will also discuss the role of African and Arab parliaments in ensuring the respect of religions and holy places in the two regions and protecting national cultures of the African and Arab populations against the effects of globalisation.

 

The meeting’s agenda also includes the election of members of the conference’s bureau and the setting-up of a new monitoring committee, in addition to the scheduling of the date and place of the 14th Afro-Arab Parliamentary conference.
