Shin Hyon-hee – For the last three years, the Lee Myung-bak government has been struggling to convince its own people of the worthiness of its multi-billion-dollar project to modify the country’s four largest river basins. (…) Further, the government is now turning its eyes abroad and hoping to export its technological prowess (…) Among the potential importers are Morocco, Paraguay, Malaysia and Vietnam, according to Shim, all of which are considering adopting Korea’s techniques for their own river restoration programs.
